I often read multiple books at a time just because there are so many good ones out there. This weekend I am reading just one At the Water's Edge by Sara Gruen. The story is about a married couple, Ellis and Maddie, and their friend Hank. The trio decide after a long and embarrassing night of drinking to leave America and head to Scotland in the middle of WWII to hunt for the Loch Ness monster. I am only up to chapter 5 but I am definitely having trouble putting it down. Here is the link to buy it from Amazon:http://www.amazon.com/At-Waters-Edge-A-Novel/dp/0385523238
I was just going over some of my previous posts and realized that I never mentioned anything about finishing the book. I can sum it up in one word for you... Wonderful! I loved the way I got so wrapped up in the story and how emotionally invested I became. I was angry and hurt when Maddie was angry and hurt. When she found happiness I was grinning from ear to ear. Please do yourself a favor and grab this to read. It would be a great way to spend a weekend.
