So as you can see my photo skills are a little lacking lol. I try to use photos of my actual book copy as I am, reading them but this one was sent as an ebook. I did receive this book free in exchange for a review, however this is my own honest opinion on it. I was not sure how I would feel about this book at first. I was drawn to choosing it because I love romance, magic, and intrigue. This book did not disappoint in that aspect as it certainly has all three of these themes. The story revolves around Blaise (a sorcerer), his "creation" Gala, his ex-fiance Augusta (a sorceress), and Augusta's lover Barson. There is a very big divide between the classes in the land , especially when it comes to magic, and Blaise just wants to make it more even. He decides making magic more accessible for everyone is the best way to alleviate rising tensions. There is a lot to discover in this book. It is a pretty fast read with some intimate moments sprinkled throughout. I loved how complex and intriguing the characters were. This is actually book 1 and I would recommend grabbing a copy of book 2. I only gave 3 stars because there were parts in the book where I just wasn't sure what was happening, magically speaking. I also like a bit more romance in my books.
You can grab a copy of book 1 by going to https://www.amazon.com/Sorcey-Code-Fantasy-Romance-Intrigue-ebook/dp/B00HB8TGVS
I will say the author , Dima Zales, has a way with words. He actually has several other books and I will definately be checking them out in the very near future. He has a pretty impressive bio and if you want to check out more of his writings you can see it all on Goodreads https://www.goodreads.com/dimazales
