First of I love anything that has to do with werewolves. I actually enjoy shifter books and if they happen to be a bit on the smutty side....I don't mind at all. I was very impressed with this book. I literally could not put it down once I started reading it. The characters were very well written. Lara Walker is a perfect mix of independence and vulnerability. Caleb is exactly what you would imagine a biker/alpha wolf should look like. ( I was very fond of the added patch of white in his hair/fur). Layne Macadam may not have been an author I was familiar with before but she is surely one I will be reading a lot of in the future. I was able to create a pretty vivid picture in my head as the story progressed just simply because of how immersed in this story I became. My brief synopsis: Hot female vet meets equally hot biker "bad boy" who also happens to be alpha of a pack of local werewolves. They meet, there is serious smolder, then there is marking, and then the fireworks! Need I say more? I give this 2 paws up...just kidding. Seriously awesome read. Go buy it. I have the links listed below. I am very excited to read the next in this series. I am actually going to post a book description and some author info here just because I like to share and then you can see for yourself why this book was so damn appealing.
Wolf Shifter Caleb
Grayson's opinion of humans is lower than a rattlesnake's belly, that is, until
Lara Walker comes into his life. But can the pretty veterinarian, with her
marmalade curls and flashing green eyes, be trusted with his secret?
As alpha of his pack
he is duty bound to keep them safe and, with genocidal hunters closing in on
them, that means maintaining anonymity.
So will sharing his secret strengthen Lara's and his relationship? Or will it send her running in horror and
announcing his heritage to the world?
When the decision to
reveal all is snatched out of his hands the revelation, not only turns her
world inside out but it has far-reaching repercussions neither could have
imagined.

And now a word or two about the very talented author..........
Always an avid
reader, Layne voraciously consumes all types of fiction, but she particularly
loves a happy ending, so writing romance seemed a natural progression for
here. Although a little daunting at
first, once she finally started tapping on the keys the words kept flowing, and
what was intended as a short story turned into a full-blown novel, Desire
Unleashed, the first book in her Desire Series about a team of Navy Seals.
Layne writes
contemporary romance, paranormal, and sci-fi.
With her love of history and passion for travel a historical romance
combining the two is not outside the realms of possibility in the future.
When she's not writing Layne can be found
tackling some craft project, walking along the beach, or you might find her in
the kitchen creating some culinary delights.
