Always Room for Cupcakes by Bethany Lopez
I have to start by saying any book that references food will automatically draw my attention. LOL. This book was part of a review tour that I participated in and it did not disappoint. I loved this book! I laughed so hard at some parts that I actually sorted out loud.
Lila is a single mom trying to make ends meet by working as a photographer for a somewhat questionable PI ( not that anyone outside her 2 best friends actually know this). The rest of the world just sees the minivan driving soccer mom who works part-time at a bakery. She has 10 year old twins and she is trying to maintain some sort of normalcy after divorcing their cheating father. FYI: her way of getting revenge on the cheater is pretty classic. Out of nowhere one day, a hottie on a motorcycle comes through to save the day and maybe offer her a chance to let her hair down and have fun. This is when the story really starts picking up pace. I love the interaction between Lila and her friends. She is an easy to relate to character who speaks her mind.
This was a very entertaining read. It was fast paced and well written. It also had the perfect combination of steamy, humor, and romance. It is a must read.
